  • If you have grown up watching Sesame Street like we did, then you have to be familiar with just how much Cookies Cookie Monster can chomp down on. We have the same “restraint” when it comes to indulging in cookies of every variety and are on the constant look out for anyone baking and adding something new to the repertoire.

Our search took us to Grace & Glory, particularly because we had people on social media going gaga over this one particular cookie that they were whipping up. Named the Espresso Shot, these coffee bean shaped cookies actually don’t look like your conventional cookie at all for starters. True to its name though one bite is enough to send you reeling (in a good way!). The strong coffee flavour was simply perfect and we highly recommend these for anyone trying to keep sane and juggle WFH and online school!

We actually ordered a bunch of different and unique flavours from these guys and had them delivered over to us. These guys currently only undertake preorders so you will have to call them in advance to place yours. Our orders came in two batches because we ordered twice over. The cookies are packed in cellophane bags and that was about the only qualm we had. We did notice that they now do more sustainable packaging on request as well so good on them for taking customer feedback positively.

The classic in our picks was the Vanilla Choco Chip which we must mention was very generous with the chocolate chunks hidden among the crunchy cookie dough. We also got Oatmeal and Blueberry which again delivered on the generosity with tons of little Blueberries peeping out of the oatmeal mix. Out two favourites were definitely the Cinnamon Sugar which struck a perfect balance between the sweetness of the brown sugar and the spiciness of the cinnamon, and a Masala Chai Shortbread Cookie. Let’s talk more about that one. For starters we have never come across such an ambitious flavour before and had our reservations before trying these blocks out. We were not disappointed though because the Shortbread had the right tinge of spice and the nice aftertaste of the Chai leaving us wanting more and more.

We certainly love how the innovation is working well for these guys and they keep coming up with new stuff weekly. Strawberry Jam Crumble Bars is next on our list of must try cookies from Grace and Glory.
